Meet Our Team
Mike Lyons – Managing Director
Mike has been the driving force behind our growth and success to date. Together with a strong team around him, he is involved in all aspect of the day to day management of the company. SES has experienced tremendous growth through the years and its his ambition to continue this trend.
Mike’s background is in Engineering, having studied in both Galway GMIT and the University of Limerick. He then worked for a number of years with 3 different companies gaining valuable experience prior to setting up SES in 2009.
On his downtime Mike spends most of it catching up with his family and exploring new places. He also enjoys cycling and more recently taken up gardening.
Brendan Hasner – Operations Manager
Brendan has been working with SES since 2015 after completing an environmental course in CIT which was a new course specifically tailored to working on the water networks in Ireland and abroad. He was working as a project manager for a few years and showed that he performed well with achieving deadlines, customer relations and working well with others in his team. As time went on, he was responsible for more of the day to day running of the business to which he now, along with the managing director, oversees all aspects of the business.
When not working Brendan enjoys socialising with his friends and spending time with his family. He also enjoys working on cars and swimming.
Louise Griffey – Office Manager
Louise has been a member of the SES Water team for a number of years and is responsible to for the smooth and efficient operation of the office. Her role includes work on accounts & administration duties along with the daily interactions with the operations.
Louise’s background includes customers service, administration and accounts. She has worked in the manufacturing aviation service industry where she gained valuable experience.
In her spare time, Louise enjoys hiking, cycling, and travelling.
Conor Malone CEng BEng MIEI – Project Manager (DMA Works)
Conor is a Chartered Engineer with over 17 years experience in Civil Engineering. He qualified with a Batchelor’s degree from NUIG Galway and received his Chartership through Engineering Ireland in 2008. His previous experience is with Consulting Engineering and Local Authorities primarily in the water sector. This has allowed him gain valuable experience in Water Conservation through planning, design and management of the water supply industry.
Since joining SES he has worked as a project manager on public water supply networks (DMA’s) as well as managing domestic and commercial Leak investigating and Hydrant testing services nationwide. Conor has travelled extensively and is a big sports fan. He loves all things water sports.
Conor Downes – Project Manager (Civil & Welding)
Conor joined SES back in 2018 after completing a number of years working within Thames Water in London and Thames Valley Region on Clean and Waste Water Network. Conor studied construction management in LIT (Limerick). Conor manages SES Civil and Pipeline Testing works from Tender Stage, HSQE and Work Flow Planning.
Outside of working with SES Conor plays football with his local GAA Club and is interested in Rugby and Farming.
Matt Corrigan – Project Manager
Matt joined the SES team in 2021 and he jointly manages the Pressure Testing and Chlorination Division.
He has over 10years experience in the Water & Gas Industry working throughout the UK & Ireland, including major projects such as Crossrail (London) & Ervia’s 1st Multi Utility Project (Nenagh).
Niamh Cahill – Office Administrator
Niamh is a Commerce graduate from National University of Galway. After graduating she moved to Birmingham, UK for a number
of years where she gained valuable experience within the construction industry prior to joining SES.
Niamh is responsible for an array of administration duties in the office along with having a large involvement in the collating of reports for the various services. Her hobbies include playing camogie and she follows the GAA.
Colm O Callaghan – Sales
Colm graduated in 2011 with a Business Marketing and Management Degree from Limerick Institute of Technology. With over 10 years experience in maintaining client relationships, and acquiring new business, Colm will be adding to SES Waters current client portfolio along with looking after our existing customers.
Outside of work Colm is a big of GAA, Soccer, Rugby and Golf where he plays in Woodstock Golf Club Ennis.
Tom Lawlor – Finance Manager
Tom has been with SES since 2013 and is involved in the financial aspects of the business. He is a qualified accountant and has a background in private practice and the hotel industry. He holds a BA and MSc in economics from UCD and is a member of the institute of Certified Public Accountants.
In his spare time he enjoys swimming, water sports and spending time with his children.
